Our beloved American Shorthair passed away and I knew it was time to look for a pair of Abyssinians that I had always wanted to be part of our family. The search began by looking at breeders and investigating their sites. As soon as I saw PureAbby and read about Janet’s reputation and standards as a breeder, I put in our application hoping we would be accepted. It was with great joy when we were!
Janet is very discerning and you realize that she cares as much about where her babies go as the love that you want to show them. The waiting began as we prepared our home for everything that a new set of kittens might want/need. Janet outlines everything in her paperwork to ensure they are kept happy and healthy. She is friendly and professional and answers all questions.
The photos of her kittens came and oh! – those gorgeous little mischievous faces and their exploitations. When Janet let us know we could travel to bring home a pair, we were thrilled! Off to Canada we flew and brought home Smoochie Pie and Phoebe. Janet had everything ready for the airplane ride home and it went smoothly. They rolled into our home like they knew where they were going. No fear; only curiosity and friendliness as Janet socializes her kittens so well!
They play together as they romp through the entire household up/down as fast as their ‘thunder paws’ will take them. They spend time with each of us and their favorite toys or ‘rubs.’ Their favorite spot, now that the weather is getting better, is their screened in porch where they sit in their cat trees and direct (watch) all of the wildlife outside.
