LIMITED LITTERS, THOUGHTFUL PLACEMENT
PureAbby is a small, specialized cattery, so we only have a few carefully planned Abyssinian litters each year. Abyssinians naturally have small litters—typically just two to four kittens—and we prioritize the health and well-being of both our queens and kittens above all.

Due to limited litters and high demand, we maintain a waiting list for our kittens. If you want to adopt a PureAbby kitten, we invite you to complete a short application. This helps us learn more about your home, lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in a companion so that we can ensure the best possible match. If your application is approved, we will arrange a follow-up phone interview and request a deposit to hold your place on the list. Your deposit is fully refundable if we are unable to provide you with a kitten.

RESPONSIBLE BREEDING & HEALTH TESTING
Our commitment to the health of the Abyssinian breed is unwavering. Every breeding cat at PureAbby undergoes comprehensive DNA testing to ensure they are free from inherited conditions such as Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PK Def) and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). This proactive approach gives our families peace of mind, knowing they are welcoming a healthy, genetically sound kitten into their lives.

ADOPTION PROCESS &. ONGOING SUPPORT
Because Abyssinian litters are so small, we selectively place our kittens. We would appreciate any information you could share about your household experience with cats and your reasons for choosing an Abyssinian. We aim to place each kitten in a loving, permanent home where they will thrive.

We also offer ongoing support and breeder guidance throughout your cat’s life. Whether you have a question months or years down the road, we are always happy to help and love staying in touch with our extended PureAbby family.

TRAVEL & DELIVERY OPTIONS
To protect the safety and well-being of our kittens, we do not ship them unaccompanied. You are welcome to travel to our home in Ontario to pick up your kitten. Alternatively, we can help you find a trusted courier for land or in-cabin air delivery.
